Getting here on the day
by car
The wedding happens in three parts, in three different places, so it's worth knowing the plan before you set off.
The route: St Leonard's Church→ taxis into town (organised for you) → The Woolpack
Because you won't end up back near the church, where you park makes a difference. Here are your two options.
This gives you two options:
Option A: Park near the church
Address: St. Leonard's Road, Bengeo, Hertford, Hertfordshire, SG14 3JW
There's parking near St Leonard's Church, but spaces are limited, so arrive early if you'd like to grab one, and make sure you don’t block any driveways.
The catch: at the end of the night, you won't be coming back this way. You'll need
to walk or taxi back to your car from The Woolpack about [5 minutes by taxi] away.
Option B: Park at St Andrew Street car park or Hartham carpark
Address: St Andrew Street 11 St Andrew Street Hertford SG14 1HZ or Hartham Lane, Hertford, SG14 1QR.
These are in town, close to The Woolpack so at the end of the night, you're already near your car. These are pay and display car parks
The catch: you'll need to walk or taxi to the church first, about 20–25 minutes on foot (it's across Hartham Common, slightly uphill flat shoes recommended!).
Getting here on the day by public transport
No car? No problem. There's really only one leg of the journey you need to plan, getting to the church. Everything after that is sorted for you.
The route: St Leonard's Church → taxis into town (organised for you) → The Woolpack
So your only job is getting from the station to St Leonard's.

Once the ceremony's done, just hop in a taxi with everyone else no need to think about The Woolpack until you're there. (And both stations are an easy walk from The Woolpack at the end of the celebrations.)
Station Options
Hertford has two stations on different lines,check which one your train comes into. These stations are:
Hertford East and Hertford North
Trains are from:
London Liverpool Street
London King's Cross / Moorgate
The church is about 20–25 minutes' walk from town (across Hartham Common, slightly uphill), so it's worth knowing your options:
Option A: Walk
From Hertford East: turn right out of the station towards the river, cross the bridges and Hartham Common, then follow the path up to Bengeo. The church is at the top of the hill.
From Hertford North: walk into town to Old Cross, turn left then right towards the brewery, then down to Hartham Common and follow the route above.
Option B: Taxi
Easiest if you'd rather not walk uphill before the ceremony, taxis are available from both stations. Or you can call The Hertford Taxi Company tel:+441920872880 (you may want to book in advance)
After the ceremony
Don't worry about getting back to a station from the church, we'll be taxiing everyone into town together, and from there you'll be a short walk from The Woolpack and both stations for your journey home.

The walk to the church

It's about 20–25 minutes from the town centre, across Hartham Common and slightly uphill at the end, so flat shoes are a good idea if you can manage it!
The route: head down to Hartham Common, cross the river, then follow the path up into Bengeo. St Leonard's Church is at the top of the hill, on St Leonard's Road.
Not keen on the walk? A taxi from town to the church only takes a few minutes and might be worth considering if you're short on time or would rather save your feet for later.
After the ceremony
Don't worry about the walk back, we'll be taxiing everyone into town together, so you can just enjoy the day from here.
Our tip: if it's been raining, the path across the common can get a little muddy, pop a pair of flats in your bag if you're worried about heels.
